Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These terms apply to the Vise app for iPhone (“Vise” or “the app”), made by Axel Olofsson Turner, an individual developer based in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Vise, you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If these terms and the Apple EULA conflict, these terms apply, except where the Apple EULA gives you more rights.
1. Health and safety
Vise is not medical advice. Workout plans, nutrition targets, calorie estimates and other information in the app are general fitness information, not a diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or qualified trainer.
- Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise or nutrition program, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or have a history of eating disorders.
- Exercise carries a risk of injury. Use proper form and weights you can handle, warm up, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
- You are responsible for deciding whether an exercise or diet is right for you.
2. Nutrition estimates
Nutrition values from meal photos are estimated by artificial intelligence, and barcode results come from Open Food Facts, a database anyone can edit. Both can be wrong. Treat them as estimates and check them when accuracy matters to you, for example for allergies or a medical diet.
3. Who can use Vise
You must be at least 16 years old to use Vise.
4. Subscription
- Vise requires a subscription, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple Account. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- New subscribers may get a free trial. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged automatically.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before the renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple’s terms. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If we change the price, Apple will tell you in advance, and where required, ask for your consent before you’re charged the new price.
5. Using Vise fairly
Don’t misuse the app or its services. For example, don’t try to get around the daily scan limit, overload or attack our servers, copy or resell the app’s content, or upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to use. We may limit or stop access for anyone who does.
6. Our content
The app, its design, images, exercise library and text belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only within the app, for your own personal use. Your own data, such as your logs and photos, stays yours.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Vise running well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Features that depend on internet services, such as meal scanning, may be unavailable at times or limited per day. We may update, change or remove features to improve the app.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, or for injury or health problems resulting from exercises or diets you choose to follow. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Vise in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Vise at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may end your access if you seriously break these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We’ll update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Vise after a change, the new terms apply.
11. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law lets you bring them where you live.
